On a foggy October 22, 2012 morning, new cameras were installed at the nest.  As the fog lifted, staff  and volunteers noticed that another nest was being built across the marsh and south.  One of the new cameras is now watching the activity from a long distance. Morning views will not be good due to the camera looking into the sun.  The picture will get better later in the day.  You will also notice a lot of camera movement on a windy day.  Sorry, we can't do much about that.

Three adult eagles have been seen frequently at the nest site during the fall and still into February of 2013.

October - January 2013 - Nest building begins and continues.

January 22nd - Behavior indicates that they are sitting on eggs.  3 adults are still seen, however the third one doesn't appear to be around as much.

February 21st, Two eagles are in the nest and the third  adult flew in and sat next to nest. Doesn't appear to bother the pair. Is it Valor? Has he been replaced?  We don't know.  The pair has certainly been on the nest more than last year.

March 1st - Hatching has occurred, unknown number of chicks at this time. Adults are busy feeding.

March 11th - Were able to see one chick for certain, with a possibility of two.

March 25th - Two chicks are in the nest.

April 17th - Two chicks are approximately 7 weeks old and doing well.

May 2nd - Two chicks are 9 weeks old and doing well.  They will be fledging soon.
